Christchurch United Code of Conduct for Coaches
The Coach must respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every player and treat each equally with the context of the game.
The Coach must place the health and safety of each player above all other considerations.
The Coach must follow guidelines from governing bodies
The Coach must work to develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.
The Coach must not exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward.
The Coach must encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behavior and performance
The Coach must ensure that the activities they direct or advocate are appropriate for the age, maturity, experience and ability of the players.
The Coach should, from the beginning, clarify with the players and parents exactly what is expected of them and also what they can except from their coach.
The Coach must always promote the positive aspects of the game, (Fair Play etc), and never condone violations of the games rules.
The Coach must consistently display high standards of behavior and appearance.
The Coach must not use or tolerate inappropriate language.
The Coach must follow and promote the Respect Code
