Football for a New Generation
New Zealand Football is deploying the Whole of Football Plan throughout New Zealand for the 2012 season. The first stage of this new initiative shall be adopted by all Clubs throughout New Zealand focusing on the development of the 4 – 10 year old player.
If you require further information on this program please feel free to contact Tony Vallance on 338 4709. What does this mean for our club for the 2012 season?
- First Kicks (4 – 6 year olds) program means a more focused approach to player development through more structured coaching techniques. Caregiver and parent helpers shall be required to ensure that the success of this new program.
- Fun Football (7 – 8 year olds) program means a more focused approach to player development through more structured coaching techniques as well as a player centred game day program (very likely to be held as an in house program with other club entities). Caregiver and parent helpers shall be required to ensure that the success of this new program.
- Mini Football (9 – 12 year olds) programs means a more focused approach to player development through more structured coaching techniques. This age group shall still have the Saturday Game days organised by Mainland Football within 2 grades (Division 1 and non competitive). Caregiver and parent helpers shall be required to ensure that the success of this new program.
The Club is holding a Football for a New Generation presentation/information evening on Monday 20th February between 7pm – 9pm at the Spreydon Bowling Clubrooms, Spreydon Domain, Domain Tce.
